The Shuttleworth 70M with her sleek aerodynamic exterior and cutting edge naval architecture offers unrivalled stability, seakeeping and efficiency. At 14 knots her range will be in excess of 7,000nm, and her top speed of 25 knots can be increased to 30 knots with alternative engine options. She is a ground-breaking ocean explorer, representing an evolution in fuel efficient superyacht design.
Her luxurious interior accommodates 12 guests, 14 crew and has an entire deck dedicated to the owner. At 70m and above the wings can be used for accommodation allowing us to create a living space on the main deck that makes full use of the vessel's 23m beam, and is unrivalled on monohull vessels of similar length.
Adastra covered more than 60,000 miles during her first 7 years at sea and has proven herself to be a very comfortable and exceptionally fuel efficient ocean going vessel. She can cruise at 17 to 20 knots in most conditions, and has weathered 50 knot winds and seas up to 4 metres. She is incredibly stable and comfortable at rest and rolling is virtually eliminated by the outriggers.
On winning the 2013 Showboats award for naval architecture, the judges stated "This yacht will have the best performance in the most sea states of all those presented"

The layout of the Shuttleworth 70M has been designed to optimse guest privacy and comfort with careful consideration given to the flow of passengers throughout the vessel. A central column houses separate crew and guest staircases, a lift and technical area. This allows the crew to move independently between decks without entering the guest space, maintaining a maximum sense of privacy even though there are 14 crew operating the vessel.
An external walkway around the bridge deck gives the crew clear visibility for docking and maneuvering. A forward facing sofa behind the helm station provides a relaxing space for guests to observe operation of the vessel, and the aft deck has a large sun pad with optional spa pool, seating and a bar.
The owner's suite encompasses the entire upper deck and includes an office, lounge, forward facing bedroom with spectacular views and his and her changing and bathrooms. A sliding door through the forward panoramic window leads to a lounge area and foredeck sunbed. Steps leading onto the bow give access to a SOLAS rescue boat and two jet skis which are housed in an under deck locker. The aft deck offers outside dining as well as lounge seating, and day beds with fantastic views facing aft.
The main deck has a large lounge and dining area aft, a gym, four guest cabins and a VIP suite in the bow. The dining room can be opened up to the lounge to create an expansive (21m wide) open plan living space. Fold out balconies in the wings that look out each side to the sea create a spacious and open feel to the whole area. Access to the outriggers and side boarding ladder is through pop-out doors located alongside the fold out balconies.
The lower deck accommodates 14 crew, galley, stores, crew gym, laundry area, workshop and engine room. The aft garage houses a demountable 16ft Hobie cat, 7.5m tender and a dive store with a fold beach and dive platform.
